Payment & Shipping Policy

At Shopper Cart, we are committed to offering a secure, transparent, and trustworthy shopping experience. This policy outlines payment rules, COD verification, fraud prevention, shipping timelines, delivery attempts, courier liability, and customer responsibilities. By placing an order on our website, you agree to all terms stated here.

1. Order Processing Time

All orders are processed within 24 hours of successful placement. This includes confirmation, product inspection, quality check, packing, and dispatch. Orders placed during holidays or after working hours will be processed on the next business day.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept a wide range of secure payment modes, including:

  • UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, etc.)
  • Credit Cards
  • Debit Cards
  • Net Banking
  • Wallet Payments
  • Cash on Delivery (COD) — subject to verification

All prepaid payments are securely processed via certified payment gateways. Shopper Cart does not store sensitive payment details.

3. Cash on Delivery (COD) Policy

COD is provided as a convenience but is restricted to prevent misuse:

  • COD available for orders up to ₹2000.
  • For orders over ₹2000, customers must pay 20% advance to avail COD.
  • Fake or suspicious COD orders may be cancelled without notice.
4. Order Verification Procedure

Some orders may require additional verification before dispatch. Verification helps prevent fraud and ensures delivery accuracy.

  • OTP verification (SMS, WhatsApp, or email)
  • Phone call verification
  • Address confirmation for high-value or risky orders
  • Advance payment request for suspicious COD orders

Orders failing verification may be cancelled automatically.

5. COD OTP Verification (Fraud Prevention)

High-risk COD orders must complete OTP verification. If OTP validation fails, the order will not be dispatched.

6. False COD Claim Penalty Clause

A “False COD Claim” includes behavior such as falsely denying placing the order, refusing delivery without valid reason, giving incorrect address, or repeated COD rejections.

In such cases, Shopper Cart may:

  • Ban COD access permanently
  • Blacklist the customer account, number, and address
  • Require 100% prepaid payment for all future orders
  • Recover courier fees and return charges from the customer
  • Initiate legal recovery in cases of repeated fraud
7. High-Risk Address Blocking Clause

To protect against fraud, chargebacks, and repeated delivery failures, Shopper Cart reserves the right to classify certain addresses as “High-Risk.” This may include:

  • Addresses with repeated COD rejections
  • Locations flagged by courier partners for high fraud cases
  • Multiple orders using fake or mismatched contact details
  • Incorrect or unverifiable address information

Orders from high-risk addresses may be:

  • Converted to prepaid-only
  • Cancelled automatically
  • Subject to additional verification or advance payment
8. Shipping & Delivery Timelines

After dispatch, estimated delivery timelines are:

  • Metro Cities: 3–6 working days
  • Other Cities: 5–9 working days
  • Remote Areas: 7–12 working days

Timelines may vary depending on courier performance, weather, festive peak season, or unforeseen delays. Such delays do not qualify for compensation.

9. Shipping Charges

Shipping charges (if applicable) will be shown at checkout. Free shipping may be available during offers or promotions. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

10. Address Accuracy & Delivery Attempts

Customers must provide accurate address and contact details. Incorrect or incomplete details may cause delivery delays or return-to-origin (RTO).

Multiple Attempt Delivery Charges Clause:

  • If the courier makes multiple unsuccessful delivery attempts, additional charges may apply.
  • Courier fees for repeated attempts or redelivery must be paid by the customer.
  • Orders returned due to customer unavailability will not qualify for shipping refunds.
11. Courier Damage Liability Disclaimer

In rare cases of courier mishandling, damage, or loss, Shopper Cart will compensate customers up to the limit defined below:

  • ₹500 OR the order value — whichever is lower.

This limit applies only to courier-related damage and not product issues covered under our Return Policy. The customer must provide an unboxing video and proof within 48 hours of delivery.

12. Tracking Information

Once shipped, customers will receive a tracking link by SMS, email, or WhatsApp. Tracking updates depend on courier operations and may take time to reflect.

13. Delivery Delays & Exceptions

Shopper Cart is not responsible for delays caused by external factors such as:

  • Natural disasters
  • Political unrest
  • Crisis situations (pandemic, lockdown, curfew)
  • Weather-related disruptions
  • Courier partner operational issues

Such delays do not qualify for cancellation or compensation unless the order remains undelivered for an extended period.

14. Damaged, Missing, or Tampered Packages

If your package arrives damaged or tampered with, please record a complete unboxing video and contact us within 48 hours. Missing items must also be reported within this timeframe for investigation.
